I'm shopping in Los Angeles (it's true that nobody walks here, but everybody shops, so I fit right in!) and finding lots of treasures - Hermés scarves, vintage Gucci, Chanel, Armani, and Dior - and LOTS of amazing one-of-a-kind vintage!
Here are a few shots of me enjoying myself in my time off (which isn't much, as it turns out!)

Those of you who've seen or met me in person know that I'm typically dressed like an elaborate technicolor production - something like the Wizard of Oz crossed with American Apparel (the latter part only occurs because I've been biking everywhere since October - an event that deserves a post or two of its own at some point - and I need functional close-fitting clothes. It's also worth noting that I rarely actually dress *in* American Apparel because their clothes are garbage - but I've been accused of a sort of 80s aerobics-instructor style on at least one occasion). My outfits are colorful, and I rarely wear black.
After Fashion Week in Paris, I traveled to Copenhagen. I was really curious about the fashion I would find there. I love Danish Modern design, and I've been thinking that Copenhagen's fashion week should make it onto my travel books for next year.
This past weekend, Tina and I drove to Madison to visit a few vintage stores. We only bought a few iems, but we had quite the time trying on clothes, searching the racks, and surveying the city. Here are some shots of the day. Hope you like them!

A grueling day was spent yesterday producing and completing a Violetville photo shoot. Shot at The Gobbler, a now defunct roadside supper club in Johnson Creek, WI, the boss of it all and I braved dust, mold, and grime to capture some pretty amazing images. Here are a few behind-the-scenes photos. Enjoy!
We had the pleasure to meet recently with Andrea (AJ) Avery of The Procrastination File. As a gallery manager/event planner and mixed media artist, Andrea has her proverbial plate overflowing with creative projects. I'm drooling over the fashion-related artwork on homepage/art-site at AJAvery.com, and the Procrastination File constantly drags me in for a quick daily fix of something creative, bizarre or just plain interesting.
Andrea trolled through our racks, picked out her favorite Violetville finds, and shared with us what interested her about them. Check out her choices:
I went to my first burlesque show about two years ago. My face turned tomato red before the The Alley Cat Revue performance thinking I was going to see strippers. The talented ladies soon corrected my preconceptions. No one was shimmying about on stripper poles. The show emphasized style, costumes, and the art of tease. The Burlesque Guide proclaims, "Burlesque is about stockings, corsets, high heels, feather boas, satin gloves, vintage clothes and old fashioned glamour."
