What did you think of the Oscar's last night? We of course watch mostly for the dresses, and we're always looking out to see who wore vintage!

This year, there was much commenting on Twitter about Best Actress winner Sandra Bullock's lipstick (it was reportedly CHANEL Rouge Coco Lip Colour in Paris, by the way). We've heard reports that her gorgeous Marchesa gown was made from VINTAGE fabric? What a stunning woman. She certainly dressed the part, as she looked a bit like an Oscar award herself - but in a most confident and amazing way...

Many of you read that we were really hoping that Carey Mulligan would don a vintage gown for the big event - our wish was granted, in a way! Though her gorgeous black dress was current Prada, her stunning chandelier earrings from Fred Leighton were either actually from the 19th century or made from 19th-century parts? Or is this just a rumor?

But the best channeling of vintage glamour was the hair: Kate Winslet and Sandra Bullock both had the most gorgeous hair in the room, styled just like Veronica Lake.
