Hello Baby Jane
I almost screamed when I saw the editorial "Like A Movie" in Vogue Italia's September 2010 issue. Starring model Elisa Sednaoui and photographed by Miles Aldridge, the 1962 thriller Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? is perfectly captured. When I first saw this movie I was terrified. Bette Davis is Jane, a washed up child's star, "taking care" of her paralyzed sister Blanche, played by Joan Crawford, who eclipsed her in fame as an adult. What makes their onscreen murderous rivalry more delicious is the fact that the stars despised each other in real life. Jane's oversized doll look is incredibly creepy and well done by Aldridge.
